1. Introduction
The Student Support Services Department (SSSD) is a unit of GETS Campus. It is primarily devoted to serve all students and to make sure that the learning and living environment at GETS Campus is conducive in attaining their academic goals. Further, it is also responsible in assisting the GETS Campus management to develop activities, advice student leaders, and conduct services in a holistic manner.

Orientation
Programme
The SSSD conducts orientation programme on the first day of a new course. Through this orientation programme the nature and specific roles of the SSSD are also discussed and given emphasis.

Counseling
This is facilitated in collaboration with the in-house psychotherapist of GETS Campus. General counseling is given to students not only pertaining to their academic issues but also concerning their personal problems and other concerns.

Programmes
They create avenues for the GETS Campus students to foster greater bonding among them through social activities. These activities aim to make learning a holistic experience for students. They include day trips to places of interest, sporting events, and other outing.

Involvement
This intends to develop students into responsible citizens through their involvement in volunteer work like visiting orphanages, elderly homes, rehabilitation centers, etc. Students may also take part in hands-on tasks like beach or community cleaning, tutoring other students with academic problems, organizing fund-raising activities for the less privileged individuals in their community, etc.

The SSSD collaborates with the different departments in designing seminars or training or projects that will enhance or improve the students’ academic performance and life skills.

Transfer/Withdrawal Policy and
Procedure
Transfer to another School
1.
The student writes to Student Support Manager / Centre Manager /
Customer Service Executive a request for transfer to another school.

The student settles all outstanding course fees and other payments, if
any.

The students must complete the following forms obtainable from the
Customer Service:
· Course
Withdrawal Form
· Student
Exit Interview Form.

4. The student shall provide a
documentary proof of the Student’s admission into the new school which will be
attached with the Transfer form. The completed form will be submitted to a GETS
Campus Admin staff.
5. GETS Campus will provide the
student’s attendance record. GETS Campus will issue student a letter of
confirmation. With the transfer the existing student contract is thus
terminated. Student personal file is
archived with the word ‘WITHDRAWN” written or stamped on the front cover.
6. The center staff will update
the AIMS with the student status marked as ‘WITHDRAWN’.
7. The time frame for assessing
and replying to any request for transfer shall not exceed 4 weeks but GETS
Campus shall persevere to process it within 7 working days for simple cases.
Transfer
from One Course to Another within the GETS Campus
Students can apply in
writing for transfer from one course to another offered within the GETS Campus.
Such transfer applications will be considered by the Principal or Academic
Director and transfers will only be allowed if the following conditions are
satisfied:

The student fulfills
the academic and experience requirements for the new course;
·
The course which the
student originally enrolled for has not started. Our Refund Policy will apply
in this case; and
·
The student is able
to complete the course within the stipulated duration.
Students should be
prepared to do the new programme in any of the branches of the GETS Campus, if
a particular branch which offered the programme the student initially enrolled
for, does not offer the new programme the student wants to study.
If a student
transfers from one course to another within the GETS Campus, then the tuition
fee is 100% transferable to the new course provided the original course the
student has enrolled for has not started and the transfer request made in
writing is received more than 30 days before the original course starts.
If the transfer
request received is less than 30 days before the original course starts, our
Refund Policy shall apply. In this case, the student may have to top up the
course fee should the amount to be transferred is less than the new course fee.
In the event that the
fee for the transferred course is higher, the student is required to pay the
difference upon the transfer being affected.
If the differential
is in favor of the student, the school will refund the student within 14 days
of affecting the transfer. (Course has not started. The transfer request date
is more than 30 days before the course starts or within the 7-day cooling off
period.)
At present, there is
no transfer fee imposed. However, GETS Campus may impose such a fee if the need
arises and it will be published in our marketing materials including our
website and Student Handbook.
The maximum time

Transfer
From One Centre to Another Centre within the GETS Campus
GETS Campus reserves
the right to substitute any teacher or merge any class or to transfer students
to other GETS Campus center, if the strength in the class drops below six.
If a student
transfers from one center to another center within the GETS Campus, then the
tuition fees is 100% transferable to the new center. This is subject to
approval from GETS Campus’ Management and the transfer request must be
submitted in writing. Verbal request will not be entertained.
At present, there is
no transfer fee imposed. However, GETS Campus may impose such a fee if the need
arises and it will be published in our marketing materials including our
website and Student Handbook.

COURSE TRANSFER/WITHDRAWAL POLICY

GETS Campus adopts a
fair and reasonable transfer/withdrawal policy.
·
GETS Campus
communicates the transfer/withdrawal policy to all its students via the
website, student contract, pre-counselling and student handbook.
·
The CSE explains the
transfer/withdrawal policy during the process of enrolment including the time
it takes to process the request until completion which shall not exceed 4 weeks.
However, GETS Campus shall persevere to
process it within 7 working days for simple cases. A letter confirming the
request will be issued to student. If a student is below 18 years old, his or
her guardian / parent will need to sign the withdrawal request.

be stopped and a new FPS will be purchased.
